We’re very proud to launch this brand-new information directory that maps neurology services across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
NCS’s review of services in 2011 (commissioned by CAN-DO) found that people in the county with a long-term neurological condition were not receiving the basic information they needed to manage their condition effectively.
This new booklet directly addresses that need, helping people get the best from local services. It is part of a programme of awareness raising across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly that began with a Neurology Awareness Day at the Eden Project on 20 October 2011.
Our ultimate goal is to put people living with a long-term neurological condition more in control of their services, their condition – and their life.
The directory is based on a model created by service users, carers and professionals in Gloucestershire. CAN-DO and NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly put the material together and NCS supported with production.
