How we support commissioners

How we support commissioners

NCS gives practical support so you can plan and deliver more cost-effective, better quality neurology services that fit into the QIPP agenda. We help you analyse data and services, understand what service users need, and implement best practice that has been successful elsewhere.

The Department of Health has awarded us a three-year grant to work with clinical commissioning groups in England between 2011 and 2013. Interested? Get in touch to discuss how we could support you.

What happens in local NCS projects?

Explore our portfolio to see how we have supported commissioners. We can help with:

  • service modelling, strategising and redesign
  • metrics and data analysis
  • unbundling spend
  • engaging and involving service users, carers and stakeholders
  • local network stimulation
  • understanding populations
  • commissioning masterclasses
  • short-term facilitation in your area
  • use of our Quality Neurology and Neuronavigator tools

A typical project begins with the NCS team running a Quality Neurology audit in your catchment area to identify priority areas of work for the project.
